I love praline pecans, and I know that NOLA is the place to go for all things Praline-like. When I visited NOLA in the past though, the pralines and praline pecans were the perfect blend of buttery, a hint of salty, then sweetness, with a perfect crunchy coating that hugs each pecan piece. I found my recent order of Pecanfections to be mostly
just blaringly sweet!---In fact, I could only eat one or two, then I had to
give it a rest until the next day. The other elements were missing.
Altogether, those above mentioned elements are what makes these things as addictive as I remember. Perhaps the formula has been altered over the years since I've had my first ones, but I wasn't as satisfied by this batch as I was in the past. (Posted on 7/2/12)

I spend 8 months of the year off-shore. I wouldn't dare embark without 2 or 3 bags of pecanfections. Just the smell alone is enough to remind me of home, but then, the taste! It's like my wife is there with me! (Posted on 12/7/10)
